A shared-ride van service that serves the Twin Cities. The shuttles run approximately every 15 – 30 minutes and cost approximately $15.00 per person, per direction (depending on specific hotel). You do not need reservations from the airport to downtown hotels, but you DO need to make reservations 24 hours in advance to go from downtown back to the airport. However, many hotels have scheduled runs from their hotel to the airport.
To find the SuperShuttle from the Lindbergh (Main) Terminal - Please follow the signs stating "Hotel Shuttles and Scheduled Vans" to the "Ground Transportation Atrium.” The SuperShuttle service desk (open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week) is located in the center of the Atrium.
To find the SuperShuttle from the Hubert Humphrey Terminal - Proceed across the street to the transportation center. Use the phone at the SuperShuttle kiosk and you will be connected to our service desk. An agent will arrange for your transportation.
Taxis are available at the Lindbergh and Humphrey Terminals. Taxi service at the Lindbergh Terminal is accessible via the Tram Level. Signs direct passengers one level up to the cab starter booth, where airport staff will assist passengers in obtaining a taxi. At the Humphrey Terminal, taxi service is available at the Humphrey Ground Transport Center, which is located in the Humphrey Parking ramp on Level 1. The taxi ride to the convention area will cost an average of $25.00-$30.00.
Light rail service to the airport is available. Trains stop at both the Lindbergh and Humphrey Terminals and connect travelers to 15 other destinations, including downtown Minneapolis to the north and the Mall of America to the south. The light rail stations are ADA compliant.
Light rail trains run every 7 or 8 minutes during peak hours and every 10 to 15 minutes at other times of the day. From MSP Airport, trains can take you to the Mall of America in about 11 minutes and to the Warehouse District in downtown Minneapolis in about 25 minutes. If you have a layover and plan to take the Light Rail away from the airport, please allow time to travel and return.
Light rail fares are $2.00 during rush hours (Monday through Friday, 6 to 9 a.m. and 3 to 6:30 p.m.) and $1.50 at other times. Tickets are sold at vending kiosks at the rail station.
